MEET GARY & ALI BLAKE

Two owners. Twenty-nine years. Your pet, treated as one of ours.

We're Gary and Ali Blake, owners of Longford Chase Boarding Kennels and Cattery. The basis for our reputation has been built on a simple premise — that as the owners on the ground every day, it's incumbent upon us to deliver a consistently exemplary level of care, while also maintaining exceptionally high market-leader standards.

Established in 1997, Longford Chase is set within two acres of outstandingly beautiful private land, located entirely within Dartmoor National Park. The surroundings are serenely peaceful and the views breathtaking. We're proud that our customers return time and time again — and especially proud that our clientele isn't exclusive to Devon and the neighbouring counties; we have loyal customers travelling from as far afield as London and the Home Counties.

The majority of our bookings come from two sources: personal recommendations from our existing customer base, and a number of renowned local vets. We're West Devon Borough Council licensed (WDAL0047) and rated 5 star. We cherish and embrace the great responsibility of placing your family member first.

We do not sell pets. Ever.

We do not sell pets. If you have arrived here from a website advertising pets for sale, we believe it is a scam advert. Please don't pay anyone money on our behalf — we are a boarding facility only.

WHAT WE OFFER

Kennels for dogs. Chalets for cats.

Two separate, dedicated areas — each thermostatically heated, each with its own outdoor access, each looked after by us in person.

DOG BOARDING . FROM 18 PER DOG PER NIGHT (ex. VAT)

Our Kennels

Individual kennels with thermostatic-controlled red heat lamps for a linear, consistent warmth. Each kennel has access to its own undercover outdoor run throughout the day, plus outdoor exercise pens where we take dogs five times a day. Every dog is individually tether-walked twice a day; we'll happily pair dogs in for company-walks where owners request it, and we have 15m long leads for those who want a proper run-around. Bedtime always ends with cuddles and a treat.

CAT BOARDING . FROM 13 PER CAT PER NIGHT (ex. VAT)

Our Cattery

Each cat has their own personal chalet, fitted with a thermostatic-controlled red heat lamp for a cosy, accommodating space. Two shelves — one inside by the front window, one in their own private outdoor area — both overlooking the gardens. Toys, a play tunnel, and a trusty scratch post are standard. We feed twice a day, check in and dispense affection numerous times throughout, and end with a final fuss and bedtime treats before closing the cat flap for the night.
